Su Casa Mezcal originated in the early 1940s in Mexico when Jose Garcia began producing small quantities for his family and friends. Mr. Garcia harvested and aged the espadin agave plant that lends mezcal its unique character and flavor:mildly sweet with notes of herbs, citrus and smoke with an enticing aroma. Since mezcal wasn’t recognized as a commercial spirit, Mr. Garcia worked quietly with his son Lorenza to create limited batches for their loved ones to enjoy.
